Sounds like your companies need to start blocking Google Groups, so us
customers can get cheaper prices. ;)

Google groups isnt blocked because, obviously, there are technical and
valid newsgroups on there.

They could block Google Groups and either white list the useful groups or just black list things like alt.games.*. It would probably be easier to block everything and have people apply for certain groups to be allowed.
