You shouldn't have +str on any of your gear.  It's useless to a hunter.
The only thing you ever want to do in melee is wing clip something and move
back to range.

Depending on your spec:

+Hit (up to hit cap) > +Agi/+AP > +Crit > +Int > +Stam

That's it.  You can pick up odd bits of +ArPen or +Haste if it falls in
your lap, but I would never prioritize for it.  +Str and +Spi on gear is
utterly wasted, as is +spellpower.

Since I'm still leveling my hunter, (45 at the moment) so I'm learning
as I go... What is the +hit cap for an 80 BM hunter, with 10? MM to
get the improved hutners mark and careful aim and 5/5 crit, and 3
survival for the extended range...

I know my rogue caps (at least enough to know my rogue is over the
special and poison cap and almost impossible to ever hit the white
cap... it's ridiculous)

Also, does expertise affect ranged attacks at all? i.e. Do I need it
on my hunter?
