My rogue hasn't been played in ages, and is still 69, but he is now
ass/sub. Assination down to mutilate, then going down subtlety for the
better stealth, movement and others. If I started replaying I would
strongly consider a complete hybrid. Assasination down to mutilate.
Combat for the better hit and offhand damage and subtlety for the
reasons above.

I've been following the advice of various sites and staying with
combat/swords until 50. They suggest that at that level, one finally has
enough points to respec and make assassination and subtlety work, so I may
now switch, as it does look like a more fun build.
I have a Rogue at level 17 that I have had to leave alone for the past
few weeks. I just can't advance him any further, and I am totally
frustrated with the amount of time he spends dead, and with me having to
revive him.
Of all the classes the Rogue is the one I find impossible to progress
through the game with.
