I think it was Steve Kaye <nospam@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> that wrote
something like...
I just started a Shaman, and even before she dinged level 2 I could see
that playing her was vastly easier than playing an equivalent druid. I
felt the same at level 5, at ten, at 15.
I just don't get on with my Shaman. He's at level 28 now and he's been
a chore to get that far. A lot more difficult than my Druid.
I leveled my Shaman Elemental from the start and it's about my
favourite character after my Shadow Priest.
Been trying some Resto Shamaning in outland instances since dual spec
arrived and I like healing with it. Feels a bit similar to healing as
a priest. Earth Shield is like Prayer of Mending for the pre-damage
cast heal, riptide gives you a HoT and with the talent or glyph or
whatever it was to make renew heal a chunk upfront, they're quite
similar. The two healing waves are like the flash heal and the
greater heal. You've got your dispell poison, disease, curse while the
priest has disease and magic. Chain heal instead of Prayer of
Healing.
My Shaman is still only 65 though. Gotta wait for the rested xp to
build up and I do have 9 other characters that want play time. ; )
