I'm sure. However, I would never trust myself enough to open my
computer up to even attempt this. Knowing me, I'd break something. As
Catriona politely stated, things are are second nature to you computer
types aren't as easy for the rest of us.

Well it can be learned, if you just dare throw yourself at it.

I talked last week with one who's running a course in the use of office
applications and PhotoShop, and she knew next to nothing about what was
inside a computer. I then suggested the school should make a course
teaching people to do simple things like adding/exchanging parts and/or
cleaning the fans. She loved the idea, she asked her boss and Thursday I
was asked to help set it up.

Friday I made some arrangements with a recycling center, so we can get
some comps for free, and I was quite surprised about the number of
people who showed interest in the idea, especially that most of them
were women.

Looks like I'm going to be a comp-tech teacher now, just for opening my
mouth :-D
