I shouldn't complain about easy/hard though. Compared to raiding as an
Arms or Fury warrior I'm amazed at the dps numbers I'm getting from a
crap-geared shadow priest with only a few heroics so far. Just rolling
my head around on the keys seems to kill stuff but I want to maximize it
of course. In my guild runs of heroic Ulduar I notice the top dps spot
is often a shadow priest by a huge margin.

Check his Recount data. I bet he Mind Sear often, you can get crazy
numbers doing that. Also, set him as your focus target so you can see
what he is casting and targeting! Then copy him!!

Good idea. I often spend the in-instance downtimes examining my
competition for talents builds and Recount damage statistics, but
haven't thought to just stick em in my focus frame.

It would be even cooler to bring my shadow priest to the raids and do
some real-time copying of the uber player but that won't happen anytime
soon -- I'm lucky enough to have a guild that carries my under-geared
(but not for long!) arms warrior into the top-end content just to get me
back in the swing of things. Funny how crucial guilds and friends can
be in this game for exploring all the content. Just like real life, eh?
