The two things have nothing to do with each other. My mom is in her late 60s
and types 100+wpm on the computer, having learned on a manual more than 4
decades ago. I'm in my 40s and learned on a manual as well, and while I'm
not as fast as my mom, I got good typing genes from her.

If you are looking at the keys, you're doing it wrong. Period. *
