Congrats on the drop ... always fun to find some exceptionally rare item :-)
To date, I've seen 3 Epic BoE items drop, though for 2 I was in a group
and lost the roll. The third was a robe
(http://www.wowhead.com/?item=940), which I sold on the AH for a sizable
chunk of gold. Never seen a world Epic outside of the original pre-BC
zones, though...

I might actually be up to almost a dozen BoE Epics I've seen drop now.

There was a gun that dropped in a ST run that someone else won.
Warrior won skullflame shield in a Mara run.
Won staff of natural fury in a heroic underbog run.
Don Santos' famous hunting rifle while doing Quel'Danas dailies
Truestrike ring while grinding motes of fire in SMV.
Chestguard of exile my warrior won in a Crypts run.
Got Destiny in UBRS yesterday while soloing it on my shadow priest
from a mob I almost didn't bother looting.
Eye of Flame while soloing UD Strath.
Hurricane from somewhere.

That's only 9. Might be others I've forgotten though.

Oh, there was a pattern for a cloak I got while rescuing the skyguard
dude for the daily.
