Yes, it... grows... in unexpected directions, and gets more and more
tangled, like spaghetti on a plate. Don't even mention the unexpected
meatballs you find. Tidy code is a myth, heh.
Nah.... it's sometimes* tidy up until the first release to testing and
then they say "why doesn't it do this?" and you say "because you
didn't ask us to make it that way". Then you need to hack and slash
your way through the code to implement this unforseen feature that the
business analysts failed to spot and requires a re-design that you
don't have the budget for.
*sometimes refers to small projects that take a month or less to code.
