It's not moving "a bit", you have to leave the bank/AH entirely if
somebody puts one down there, and it's a touch annoying to be unable to
do whatever you're wanting to do just because some child likes to force
spam noise on everybody else.
Indeed - I'd love to see a separate option to disable train sounds. I
don't want to turn my sound down because I don't want to miss other
sounds (such as beeps when i get whispered or my name gets mentioned
in a channel), but that train sound gets old, really fast, especially
in the AH or bank.
Maybe somebody should put together a "sound pack"
- get rid of DK mounting sound
- suppress train sound
- lower gun sound (I like to hear the shot but it's too loud)
- higher bow sound (I miss the gun sound when I'm using a bow :)
- higher fish sound
Any other suggestions?
Good idea - those somebody should be Blizzard.
And we should be able to prioritize sounds we do like to hear - I
haven't heard the rain sound since their 3.0.1 patch
I can't remember seeing it rain since I started playing again... weird.
I have yet to see any weather effects in Northrend. Or am I just not paying
attention? I'm thinking this is *the* place for a howling blizzard reducing
visibility to a few meters.
Cheers
