Depends on what all you're getting from the quests. On my mage, I
took all the rewards and disenchanted them (along with any boe
greens). Auctioning those mats, combined with standard monetary
rewards netted me a little under 4k gold between 70 and 80. 1k of
that went towards cold weather flying. The other I dumped into enough
mats to get a few pieces of gear enchanted and buy a few boe epics to
get intially setup for raiding.
One minor note is that all my cloth drops I used myself to level
tailoring skill. If I'd saved all those I'd have a good deal more
cash on hand.
Aye, just remember that if you're not a tailor, you'll see much less
cloth drops; so little drops actually that non-tailors can't really
make "a good deal of cash" out of them.
I'm not entirely sure where you get the idea that tailoring increases the
frequency of cloth dropping. It's certainly not what I've observed.
I make a fair bit of coin selling my excess cloth, though I don't actually
make a point of farming it.
