Re: WotLK raids vs TBC raids

I hate to continually harp on the expansion, but one thing that has me irked
is the lack of end-game content. We have one raid of any substance, naxx, and
it is recycled old content. The other raid encounters are single-boss
encounters, on par with Magtheridon at best. The only thing I have left to
kill is Malygos and I've completed all 10-man content in the expansion. At
this point, I'm pretty much fully epic'd up from 10-man content and heroics.

Yes, but with all due respect, you don't seem to be the average WoW
player. Lots of people still have to reach 80 yet, never mind heroics
and raids.

My guild is a sort of casual raid guild (we never did Naxx v1 or the
last 3 or so bosses in AQ40, but we cleared all other original WoW
content, and everything in TBC (pre-nerf) except sunwell). We've only
taken 2 visits into 10-man Naxxramas v2 so far. I can see it keeping
us occupied for several months at least.

Sure, we can re-run it all in 25-man mode (and we plan to), but now we're
taking a recycled naxx and recycling it yet again. Yes the drops will be
better, and yes it will be more challenging, but it's still the same content
that I've already seen, and the same bosses that I've already killed.

I see where you're coming from, but I imagine a majority of players
never saw Naxxramas the first time around. I believe our guild was in the top 20
guilds on our server in terms of progression, and we only ever saw 2
bosses there (and killed neither) before TBC came around. So the place
is new to most.

I'm really looking forward to Uldaur, and I'm not sure what to expect from
icecrown citadel yet. I hope these instances are going to be on-par with
SSC/TK/BT in terms of size and complexity and not more of these mag/gruul-
like single boss encounters.

I quite like the idea of the single boss encounters. It fits in with
the trend for quicker raids/instances. Having to clear every boss in
BWL before you could have a go at Nefarian was a pain, especially when
learning. In comparison, Naxxramas lets you choose a wing, and you
only have to fight through 2 or 3 bosses to get to the t7 drops
(with the exception of the last 2 bosses). Much nicer, in my opinion.

Despite what I've said, I fully agree that more content would be a
great thing - bring it on!
