As opposed to buying an additional set of software from the store.
Granted I like the idea of places like GameStop and GameZone making
money and staying in business but I have already bought 3 WotLK and
with my youngest now wanting an account I ask myself the question at
this point...

Do I buy another set of software from GameZone or GameStop 40$ for
Battlechest which has up to BC and another $40 for WotLK.

What will Blizz hook me up with and at what price? I think at this
point I can justify passing the store for the deal but if Blizz is
going to charge me the same price for the keys as the store will for
the software then I might as well go to the store and keep the outer
economy upbeat.

OH! OH! OH!

Your personal benefit is not paying the gas to drive to the store, the
only way I see physical media sticking around is if ISPs put download
caps on internet service.

IIRC Blizzard charges the same as Gamestop, I doubt they'll charge you
sales tax though, if you live in an area that does that...

I understand going for a Collector's Edition or buying Blu-Rays/DVDs/
Console Games.  But you can always download the client version of WoW
from Blizzard.- Hide quoted text -

I don't have to install the software, I just need to buy it for the
DVD keys or buy the DVD keys from Blizzard.

I only used one DVD to upgrade 4 PCs in the house and used the 3 keys
to upgrade the 3 family accounts we have.

If Blizz is going to charge me $80 to get WoW key, TBC key and the
WotLK key then I might as well stop at the store. I drive by it on one
of my routes home so fortunately for me there is no gas issue only a
little bit more time to park the car and walk into the store and back.

Well as a poster above stated, it is probably cheaper to buy the
battlechest at the store and if your going to the store you might as
well pick up all 3.
