Blue post indicates that as of 12 noon PST, the plague will be over.
The event isn't over, supposedly there is more to come there
(Necropoli will still be spawning, and the Kara boss will still be
there for a little while).

That means if you hated it because you couldn't do your little AH
grinding or whatever on your lowbie characters, you can go back to the
same repetitive tasks you used to do before all this happened.

If you actually enjoyed the event, either by becoming a zombie or by
fighting them, then its time to say goodbye to that fun. Hopefully
something just as fun will be taking its place.

My paladin was searching Ironforge yesterday, fighting zombies, and
resurect them as living people. It was fun, until he was infected. He then
fought the will of the Lich king and asked for the death to others.
Luckily, they were quick to kill him, because his hunger for brains was
growing.

BTW, there was a new quest today. I got it from an NPC in Shat named
Grand Apothecary Putress (who is conveniently the same model of undead
we saw in the Wrath Gate video that was leaked out of the beta) who
gives you a quest to take an item (in my case it was a zombie head) to
another NPC who happens to be standing near your character's faction
city leader. And thats it. I took the head to Silvermoon, turned it
in to an NPC who was yellow to me, got 5g for doing it, and that was
it. No new quest, nothing. I'm sure there had to be a reason for me
to do that, and I am sure I will find out eventually, it couldn't have
been for no reason.

According to Putress, the head is for research. It will take time to find
something, so there is nothing more for now. I did the quest this morning
and was a little disapointed, as it was very short (go there, talk to this
guy), but we will find something to fight this new scourge, and there will
be something later.
