I guess myI didn't think Blizzard would transfer a character from one account to
solution is to start a 3rd account, transfer the character from my 2nd
account to my new 3rd (RaF) account, and let the 2nd expire.
another, and I was just about to post to that effect, but I did a
quick search and apparently they
do:www.blizzard.com/support/article.xml?articleId=20558
"The paid character transfer feature allows you to move characters to
other realms and even from one account where you are the subscriber to
another account where you are the subscriber, subject to certain
restrictions."
That wasn't my question, my question was whether a transferred
character would definitely receive the benefits of RaF increased XP
etc. But actually, as Steve said, 22 levels with the increases won't
take me long, and besides if I don't start again I miss out on 11
bonus levels I could grant to another character.
Yes, a transferred toon will gain the kill+quest xp benefits after the
transfer is complete, but will only accumulate grantable levels from that
point forwards. What I mean is, you can't transfer a lvl59 over to 2nd
account and give levels to 1st account - it seems obvious but I wondered
myself to begin with :)
Also, remember to give away your levels at 59, since they will disappear
when you ding 60, although you can still summon each other around until 61.
There is an exploit for summoning each other beyond 61 but I can't figure
out how to work it with dualboxing since it involves both toons clicking
within a certain timeframe.
Finally, yes, it sucks to be in outlands in starter gear cos you lvl'd so
fast :) but so many quests in hellfire peninsula give gear rewards its ok.
Thanks. I just realised something, the link between the accounts is only
for 90 days, which kind of sucks. It takes me forever to level a
character, and I'd be hoping to take advantage of this with multiple
characters.
I'll probably still go for it but that kind of sucks.
I've been doing the RAF program with a 5 account multibox setup lately
and having a blast with it. I wrote up a little article as well on
how to get into multiboxing for those wanting to take advantage of the
crazy RAF xp. http://www.ehow.com/how_4502536_multibox-world-warcraft.html
