From there we went through the back door and made an attempt on
Nightbane. This is where things got confusing. I never did Nightbane
before, so I asked what I needed to do. They designated one player as
the "safe place to stand" and put a raid marker on him, similar to the
Prince fight. I can handle that. Make sure to let the tank get lots
of aggro before starting DPS, not a problem either. And when the adds
come, everyone stands in the same spot and single target attack them,
don't AoE.
My Holy Paladin actually tanks those adds. :D I have Righteous Fury
up, and when they come, I spam Consecrate and folks heal me. One of my
more favourite fights since I'm actually fighting on the "front line"
and putting my Plate to good use.
Only my warlock and a mage to roll on it. Mage
rolls 15, I roll 85. Got my first raid tier item.
Congrats!
First order of business, get my 2h
mace, 2h axe, and polearm skills up. So I head out to fight
quillboars. I used Seal of the Crusader. It increases attack power
and attack speed, but the increased attack power degenerates over
time.
I love that skill for levelling weapon skills. Judge Light, seal
Crusader, ???, Profit!
My Paladin got all his weapon skills to 350/350 last night. And I'm
not sure why, but I've levelled my Priest's weapon skills, too. :P Go
to the Infernal Attackers in SMV and whack away. THe Horde Scout-type
mobs act as tanks . . . except now that her Staff skill is 346,
hitting with her staff draws aggro from the NPCs. :P
Then I ran into the big issue, I don't know of any horde paladin
trainers outside of Silvermoon and UC. That led to a long trip back
to UC at 24 to train.
As Catriona said, there is a Paladin trainer in Org in Thrall's room.
My goal, for the time being, is to get him to level 50. I plan on
going hedgehog pally, possibly around level 40, to hopefully speed my
leveling.
Levelling as Prot after level 44 is the most fun I have had in the
game ever. There are guides that can point you to where you can find
melee mobs for the appropriate level. Or, for real fun, to level your
Unarmed skill, go to SM at 70, remove your weapon, pull 20 Scarlet
folk, judge Crusader, have Reckoning proc, and punch them all to
death. Great fun!
