For all those spell casting classes who complain about resto druids
being hard to kill, please just roll a warrior or rogue.
Not a Rogue - I can't kill an equally geared druid in any reasonable
time. I can make one of two choices with respect to talents:
Not my experience, I have 380+- resilience and a rogue with equal gear
is a tough opponent, but 1v1 battles aren't even a true reflection of
PvP. Rogues are my most annoying class in arena and BGs, both places
where you will seldom fight 1v1 battles.
The difficult thing is to assess "equal gear". Without checking the
armoury for everyone you come across you've only got the looks to go
off. I don't know what Rogue gear looks like as I've mainly bought
the accessories, not the S2 gear. Same for my Druid.
Another problem is selective memory. We remember the tough fights but
forget the easy ones. I won't even register a quick win against a
druid and you won't register the rogue that you easily evaded. So
maybe the experiences that I am drawing from are just against
overgeared Druids and maybe it's just the overgeared Rogues that you
have problems with.
I know that rogues own my druid but I put it down to gear mismatch as
I still have a lot of greens and pve items on my druid. I have much
better gear on my rogue and I know that I usually struggle against
druids. (with the caveat of selective memory :P)
I'm tired
of reading posts saying how resto druids are overpowered. Nerf rogues
and warriors! The rest are ok, except frost shock spamming shamans are
damn annoying.
Now you are doing the same as the people who are tiring you.
Learn to read sarcasm over the internet Steve! ;-)
Yeah, I'm not good with language and didn't read the sarcasm.
Sorry. :P
My experience is that Rogues aren't overpowered*. We really struggle
with a lack of burst damage or a lack of mobility - we can't have
both. We can kill cloth dps, but struggle against plate dps. We
struggle against all druids. We struggle against healers. I struggle
against hunters if they have the Beast Within talent available but
otherwise they are not a problem. Enhancement Shamans can also cause
me problems.
My main issue with rogues isn't their burst damage, it's that they are
so hard to shake off while continuing to do big sutained damage and
applying poisons. I have to continually cast abolish poison, while
keeping hots on myself, while trying to get out of line of sight from
their partner and keep in los of my own, all while moving at a snails
pace because of damn poisons and anything their partner can do. And
amongst this I have to watch my partners health. I hate coming up
against rogues in arena.
And as I indicated, it's possible for a warrior to just flat out nuke
me with ms debuff applied. It's not always so extreme of course.
Yeah. I agree with that Warriors can own all my level 70 characters
faster than most other classes. Having said that I healed + dotted a
warrior to death last night. I just kept hots on me and dots on him
and he died with my having nearly full health. :P I guess he had
even worse gear than me.
