good look at the rest.

How difficult a druid is to kill is based on their build and gear. Okay
that's fairly obvious, just noting it to begin my post ;) Against a single
dps opponent, you shouldn't ever die really. With the exclusion of a warrior
with windfury which just has insane burst potential atm.

Nonsense. My first post indicates what's possible for a warrior, and
I've watched plenty of duels outside capital cities where resto druids
will lose.

Against a warrior, you need to be in bear (or moonkin if dreamstate) before
they intercept\charge. At least try and make sure the warrior is in combat
to prevent the initial charge. In arena you at least have a partner, if you
get in trouble an intercept from your partner on the opponent who's on you
should allow you to get away.

Heheh, try telling that to the new partner I play with every week.
Typically I want to be in bear against a warrior or rogue, but the
problem is, I am doing no healing in that time.

Whilst warriors hit hard, they are also very easy to CC out of the game.
Practicing fake casting to get off cyclones/roots, natures grasp into bear
form before the intercept comes.

Yes, certain warriors I find it very easy to CC and get away from. The
mace stun warriors are different and all but impossible for me to
shake with my skill levels.

In saying that, a decent geared druid for arena will have around 1500-1600
+heal and over 400 resilience.

I have around +1450 heal and +380 resilience.

If a rogue gets on me in arena they are impossible to shake if they
time their CCs with their partner. Myself and a warrior just could not
beat a mage / rogue team last night.

<snip tips>

Lost to them 3 times. Too much cc available to keep the warrior busy
while they just nuked me.

Indeed, despite what I wrote above. Beating a well played mage/rogue will be
difficult as warrior/druid, but not every team is mage/rogue and there are
others that druid/rogue will just eat.

Sure. My point is, druids aren't the be all and end all in arena,
maybe at high levels, but for us guys playing for fun, hearing people
calling for nerfs is frustrating when we lose just as often as we win.
I find warriors and rogues very tough to deal with and from my druids
pov are just as "over powered".

Just like to query the rating range you're playing at? You dont usually get
the same team three times in a row until the mid to high rating brackets,
1800+?

1600, although we went down this week because of the mage/rogue team.

I'm tired
of reading posts saying how resto druids are overpowered. Nerf rogues
and warriors! The rest are ok, except frost shock spamming shamans are
damn annoying.

Surviving a rogue is a more interesting topic I think, was a warrior is
rooted\cycloned out the game it can be fairly easy to avoid them as a druid.
Rogues however, whilst the do less damage than a warrior, are difficult to
get away from. Against a rogue, you *need* to get them to blow their cloak
of shadows. Throw up faerie fire when you can, which means they *must* clos
to restealth (well played rogue/priest can be tough vs any druid team
though). If they aren't stupid and dont use their clos, natures grasp. If
they get rooted, they *will* blow their clos. While they're on you, don't
get out of bear form until you are away from them be aware of shadowstep and
its cooldown. Certainly dont root -> run away -> caster form while they are
in line of sight with shadowstep up. Again, your warrior partner can
intervene -> disarm -> intercept back to help you out.

I find it impossible to root a rogue in arena. I don't know what
exactly it is, I'll learn in time when my rogue gets to 70, but roots
is but a momentary distraction for them, whatever tricks they're
using. I suppose it's doing some good if I force them to blow any
cooldowns but I seldom last long enough to reap the benefits. I've
found that staying in bear form against a rogue
1) Usually impossible
2) Leads to an early death

They will often catch me in stealth, ie. no bear form and stun down. I
barksin this and outlast the kidney shot because I know I'm going to
need my trinket at some point. While I'm stunned my partner is usually
taking damage too. I come out of stun usually less than 50% health,
and must immediately decide what to do first out of : abolish poison,
fairie fire, throw hot(s) on myself, throw hot(s) on my partner, try
to cc the rogue, try to fake cast cyclone, go bear, etc. All resulting
in a global cooldown while the rogue continues to apply steady and not
tiny amounts of damage and continues to apply wound poison.

I actually just think arena healing isn't for me. I don't have the
reactions for it, although I suppose that will come over time, but
I've been playing very casual arena now for many months and never get
much higher than 1600. I don't particularly enjoy it either, too
stressful.

I'll get my rogue up to 70 at some point and see what life is like on
the other side of the fence. I already know I enjoy it immensely even
at level 63 in AV.
