It's funny how subjective ones experience is. I now have a 62 rogue in
your battlegroup and to my shame I played quite a few AVs over the
weekend. I realise I'm not exactly helping the team a huge amount by
being so low, but when I got a feel for how your AVs played out, I
think I was relatively useful. They almost always seem to be rush
games, and can be quite close. So what I would do is stealth in
Icewing bunker (I'm alliance, dwarf rogue), and harass the horde
trying to assault it. I found with sap, stuns, vanish, stuns, blind,
etc, I could keep them busy for some time, even with 8 levels
difference. In fact I managed to kill a few lone level 70s by stunning
them in full view of all the archers. So basically, I would try to
hold Icewing bunker for a few extra precious minutes in case it was
that close at the end of the game. Got to love being Alliance where
Horde have to kill the archers before they can assault the bunker,
unlike the towers on Horde side.
Anyway my point after that long tale, was that I played quite a few
games over the weekend and it was very even. 50% even actually until
the last game which Alliance won, so in the end I was quite pleased. I
ended up with just over 7000 honour, which is just incredible compared
to my other battlegroup where as Horde you have to wait 5-20 minutes
for an AV game and those games are usually long battles with Horde
muddling around between defense and an impotent attack (not that I
have anything against long battles).
I'm really looking forward to getting PvP gear at 70 with this rogue,
having lots of fun even at 62 in AV annoying Horde. Rogues just have
so many PvP abilities.
Oh, one question, I notice that there is a level 60 epic PvP sword
available for 12000 honour which is *far* better than any sword I can
get my hands on in the near future and I think better than anything
before 70 too. It will greatly help my leveling, but it also feels
like a shame to spend 12000 honour that could be used for merciless
swords at 70. Did anyone else get this sword? There is also an offhand
but it's also 12000 honour and that's a bit too much.
It was a normal pug vs pug and we had a good chance to win but apparently
some morons decided it's lost in the first minute of the game. First we lost
ST because some idiot was afk on ST, then many horde came there after it was
capped and till we got it back we lost all the other bases.
However we took 2 bases after that fast and we were only 150 points behind
(150-300) so the game was all but lost but now some idiot started saying we
lost, we dont have a chance, let's all dance... It was a pretty tight game
so with 2-3 players doing notihing you just cant win.
When I confronted that player about his doing noting he said he doesnt care
he is ruining the game for 14 people and that he knew we lost in the first
15 seconds of the game (his words exactly). He didnt forget to say we are
all noobs ofc. Why dont leave the BG and not ruin it for all, hoestly I felt
like beating him with a long stick irl for how he acted and responded in BG.
Just to point out that this BG could have been won with ease as when I saw
the score near the end I had 240k healed with another ally priest 170k and
the top horde had 60k so we could have won by healing and defending only.
I know afking in BG is reportable but what about this kind of behaviour?
This is even worse than afking it's killing the morale of everyone and after
a bit no one is playing and there is just a chat war...

Yesterday I also played a few games with my resto druid. I have been
trying to win EotS for the last week because it was the daily quest a
while ago. Being stubborn I have refused to drop the quest and
continue to play EotS, fruitlessly. I am ready to wash my hands of it
though. I was in one game where there were 3 Alliance trying to take
FR from us. I saw some action going on so decided to go see if I could
help. I arrived to find about 5 horde all wailing on one warrior while
in the background a resto druid and paladin just healed him. I stood
looking at this, shaking my head in real life. Eventually I said to
the guys at FR "Do you guys not stop to wonder why the warrior you're
all trying to kill never goes below 50%? If you happened to turn and
look behind you, you'd notice two healers keeping him up. I suggest
you kill them first". No chance, people just kept wailing on the
warrior. I will offer advice, but I won't help perpetuate that type of
player in a BG so I left the scene without healing. We lost of course.
