My weekend PVP experiences

Last weekend I discovered quite some new PvP tactics, all to my disadvantage I have to admit.

While doing the daily quests in Quel'Danas I encountered a mage who had a nice strategy for some PvP action. I was killing demons near the portal for the "Battle for the Sun's Reach Armory" quest when he sheeped me. He was at the edge, safe out of reach from any mobs, while I was close to the portal. The area has a very fast respawn, so even when cleared out it will only take a few seconds for mobs to respawn. He just resheeped me when it broke and it was long enough for 4 mobs to respawn and aggro on me. The mobs then took me down, while he just slowed me, so that I couldn't escape. He managed to kill me twice before I could get out.

When doing the daily quests in Hellfire Peninsula there was another mage (this time alliance) that killed every horde player he encountered (first time I've seen some PvP action there). When getting targeted he blinked towards a pack of mobs and casted iceblock, often before they aggroed on him. The poor guys following him often ended up with several mobs beating on them.

Nagrand (cooking daily this time) had the typical PvP encounters for me. A group of horde players followed me and killed me when I landed with my bird to fulfill the quest objective. I went back to my body and rezzed, sat down to eat and a mage killed me while slowfalling from his flying mount (he wasn't part of the group from before, just thought it was an easy kill). I rezzed again, try to summon my felguard and a warrior charges and kills me.

After the next corpse run I manage to buff, get my Felguard and finish eating when a druid came in for the cooking quest. By now I was pretty fed up and willing to even out my score a bit, so I attacked him. The feral druids on my server are my favorite, they never shift out of form to heal and I kill him fairly easy but with more effort than I used to.

Wondering why Drain Life was so bad I checked my gear and found out I still had a fishing pole equipped and was wearing the Multiphase Spectrographic Goggles ;).
