If I remember right, you get 5 points added to your max in poisons per
level, the same way that lockpicking works. So, a level 68 is maxed
at 340. *
I know, but I can't get it to flip that last point. I created about 15
extra orange poisons last night and stayed at 339. I opened a ticket just
before I logged off, and got an email saying I should check the forums.. :(

I am not terrible impressed with WoW technical support. "Delete the
WTF/interface" seems to be the catch all answer to everything. I have
the problem of my buttons on my interface would fade until they are
invisible. They are still there, I just have to remember what is where
or set my key binding. It even does it with bar mods like bartender. I
sent a gm a message describing it and they said to just delete the WTF
and interface directories. I did and it fixed it for about 5 minutes.
So a complete uninstall and reinstall later, same crap. I found
someone with the same issue on the forums, but no one has answered any
of my questions. I guess as long as they are collecting the millions
of subscriptions they can afford to not give a damn about a few
people.
Ever work in customer service? Particularly in some kind of technical
support? All troubleshooting has to start somewhere. I worked for a
satellite TV company, and when provided tech support for customers,
the first thing we were supposed to ask was if their receiver was
plugged into the power outlet. Initially, I thought that was the
dumbest thing to ever ask a customer and felt it was belittling them
just to ask it. But, as it turns out, that 1 question answered about
25% of all technical calls. You would occasionally get someone who
refused to visually confirm that the plug was plugged in, and just
tell you yes. And after going through all other steps in
troubleshooting, you would ask them to please unplug the receiver,
then plug it back in. After telling them to do this, you would
sometimes get an odd silence, followed by "hmm, it was unplugged
afterall."
If you're having problems with the interface, it makes sense to delete
the files that have modified your interface, allowing it to be
restored to defaults. Unfortunately, in the case of WoW, you ahve to
sign off to do that, effectively severing your connection to tech
support. Then when you log back in to discover you have the same
problem, you have to open a new ticket and wait for a new response.
I'm not saying Blizzard's tech support is the greatest, but all I am
saying is their troubleshooting has to start somewhere, and I am sure
they have found that deleting the WTF and Interface folders has solved
a good majority of problems, enough to make it the first question
asked.- Hide quoted text -

and I understand the need for it. Currently I am a software engineer
for a contracting company that manages several time critical and
sensitive applications for a variety of customers. If an app goes down
for any reason we (us keyboard jockeys) are contacted to fix it ASAP.
I am familiar with the preliminaries, but if the initial observations
don't reveal anything we proceed to a more detailed analysis. So far
I have been told twice the same default fix. After the second time I
did a full uninstall/reinstall. The third time I contacted them I got
the "we'll get back to you". That was 2 1/2 months ago. The only
reason I still endure is I really do like their product when it works.
I am not a hater of Blizzard by any means; I just wish their support
was more responsive.
