Re: Armory crashing firefox consistently now

If a webpage crashes a browser, it's the browser's fault... or one of
the component pieces of software attendant to that browser. Does that
make you feel better?

Your outright claiming that firefox is at fault, and your plain wrong.

I DID, actually, point out that the version of the flash plugin should
be checked.

It is effecting v7,8,9 via windows and v7, 9 unix (as no version 8 was
ever availible) As well as an open source implementation of the plugin.

And regardless, it comes down to the same thing: a flaw in the end-user
software exposed by bad input from the network.

Not nessesaraly, you can't just outright blame the plug in if the fault
resides on the web page not correctly using the plug in.

At no point did I say "Ditch Firefox". My point is: find out what's
wrong and fix it. Don't throw your hands up in the air and blame the
Armory and Blizzard's generally careless coders.

Why shouldn't I blame blizzard for the problem? It effects every cross
platform browser and every cross platform implimentation of flash.

This isn't an indemic problem amoung thousands...hundreds.. dozens.. or
any verifiable number of web pages, it resides on a whole 1 web page,
the armory. The problem resides on the implimentation of this
particular page. The quickest and most logical solution is for blizzard
to directly address and solve the problem.

As a note this same problem is persisting with both mozilla browsers and
non-mozilla browsers using an open source implimentation of flash, both
in 32 and 64bit versions.

I can verify the error among 3 different OS's, windows, linux (32 and
64bit) and bsd, using IE (in xp, vista, under wine and crossover with
32 and 64bit implementations of linux), firefox, mozzila and opera,
both with adobe flash 7,8 and 9 under windows, and 7 and 9 with linux
and BSD. as well as an open source implimentation of flash.

Where would you conclude the problem resides? The armory is the only
site this seems to happen with.
