Play on a Mac :) No .exe files at all, ever... not to mention no virus!

Just be patient...

People keep saying that, and there *still* isn't a remote exploit in the
wild, 5 years after OSX was released. *

Hmmm....

That says different.

"Remote exploit in the wild" -- a virus, worm, or successful trojan that
is spreading. None of your links in the google search point to any
examples.

I almost welcome a virus alert for the Mac (and I agree with a previous
poster who suggests it's inevitable) since I might actually learn
something about what is going on under the hood. The problem with an OS
that "just works" all the time is you never learn anything about it
without forcing yourself to hack the innards as a hobby. Windows, by
contrast, I use for far fewer tasks (just gaming really) but am horribly
familiar with all the boot files, registry repairs, services, DLLs, open
ports, etc, due to being hit (and friends/coworkers being hit) by some
of the countless thousands of remote exploits in the wild that drive an
*entire industry* of anti-virus, anti-spyware, OS-repair, and spamming
zombie farms. This industry must view the Mac as a barren desert, a
zero-income stream for their unwanted products.
