Patch 2.3 made repairing cheaper if you have high rep with a faction.
15% discount if you're revered, 20% if exalted. I thought that I would
like to improve my pally's reputation with various horde factions,
because I'm always getting my gear repairing in Orgrimmar. My pally is
revered with Orgrimmar now.
I did quests in the orc/troll starting area and gained some reputation
very quickly. Later I went to the undead starting area, because
usually you get hidden faction gains if you do quests for one horde
faction. However, I noticed that I wasn't gaining rep with other horde
factions. I wonder why. Are all low level quests limited to one
faction and if they are, what is the level limit?
Most but not all, I believe, and I suspect it's the ones in the starting
zone (1-10) only which are limited - I've generally noticed the major
storyline quests seem to give rep to all factions but minor quests don't,
if that makes any sense (ie kill the boss of that bunch of people who are
harassing us gives rep, go get 10 boar meat doesn't - at low levels,
obviously higher they all do)
