Unless I missed something. My web browser can't look up Balanced
Nightseye right now, but with a name like that it don't sound too
promising for a hunter.

Seems like it might be worth it to pop a big red or yellow in and
sacrifice the socket bonus?

I'll have to check into it a little deeper.

Now seriously!!

I'm looking more at these two sets and I see something that appears to
be missing. I don't see enough critical strike. These are sets and the
critical strike values of them seem to be terribly low in relation to
the "mere" greens that my hutner is currently wearing, greens that
have satisfacory critical strike.

Then I look at the gems that are available and I see critical strike
in a yellow gem and partial critcal stirke in a orange gem. I don't
see any critical strike in any green gems.

Now the -4 second cooldown on the Beastlord looks like a "must have".

Damn, I 'm going to have to spend a good deal more time researching
this aspect and finding out what the hell it is I have to get into
these pieces should I craft/farm them.

I expect that there has to be some unique placement of specific gems
that are required for these babies to get the most out of them.
