Belkins are not the best..

Doh! (although the price suggested something like that ;)

I would go for Netgear, especially the rangemax range.

Having said that, the Belkin should work fine so you need to make sure you
have all the settings as your ISP has said, the main reason most wireless
routers keep dropping connections is the ID needs to be changed or the MTU
is set too high, although you do say you have the cable connected to the
router eliminating wireless.

Here are the default router settings for a UK dsl connection

VCI: 38
VPI: 0
Encapsulation: PPPoA VCMUX
Authentication: CHAP
MTU: 1492

Now I find that MTU to high, the MTU is the packet size that is sent and the
default can somtimes be too high, you can try lowering that to 1400 and see
if its more reliable. <if the packet is too high, when it returns it can
fragment so we need to cut it down so your router can handle it easier>

Alternativly, try putting the IP address of your PC in the routers DMZ
settings <note: DMZ is only for testing as it exposes your pc by opening all
ports> then play wow for a while see if it disconnects.

It has to be your router if the modem is ok, also put the latest firmware on
from Belkins website.

Good luck :)

Hi.

I actually do run the DMZ on my comp now, but no luck there. I also
know the settings i should use, it's:
"Connection Type 1483 bridged"
"VPI/VCI 8/35"
"Encap LLC"
but i can't find them in the router settings..
And about the firmware, i can't seem to find my version of the router
in the list.

Oh well. Thanks for your time, I'll try to mess around a bit more when
i get home.
Oh and i have tried reaching the belkin support, but haven't been
successful yet.

Again, thanks
