My wife and I are going to start playing WoW casually on Sundays and I was wondering what would be a good race/class mix so we
could compliment each other when we group together. Keeping in mind she is a very new inexperienced player. I've played off and
on, but haven't played for almost a year. We want to start out level one with each other. Thanks for the help.

I would say find out what class appeals to her then find the one for you that
matches up well.

armor with healing
tank with healing
if just 2 of you I think you need 1 that can play a tank role and one that can
play a heal role, and it will be more flexible as a hybrid class like druid,
shaman, Pally.

If you take a solid tank and solid heal you will ALWAYS get into instances
easy, if you care to.

Absolutely. Very good point. "Tank and healer need three DPS" will get
full in NO time.

I would not take a hunter, rogue, mage or warlock for either, though I am sure
you could have fun and still clear most if you did. Just me.

druids rock

Meh. I deleted mine at L15. Got sick of changing form so much. it's a
personal thing, like hating frost mage spec.

2 druids? Night elfs. I found the start zones for NE much more 'romantic'
than red ridge, westfall etc.

No mages if just 2 of you, unless 1 is a Pally? Need a healer. Always.

Nah. Two mages is fun! Dangerous fun, but fun! You can't take hits, but
you won't get hit much at all. Two sheep, two frost novae, and DPS out
the ***! I've seen it, it is awesome.

So healers are:
Priest- full rezzes, pure heal though you could go shadow and probably heal great
for questing.

Shaman- I have 1 to 26 and is ok but I am not too excited by it. But does
offer good utility, fighting and healing and good buffs with totems. Good rezzes
and a self rez at 30.

Yup. Having two repops at L30 would save on a LOT of corpse runs. This
would be the anti-mage pairing.
