It seems that I'm usually put on the adds duty in this instance. Do
you have any hints for a hunter in this job? I'm a BM spec hunter, and
I usually keep my pet on the rift lord if I don't have big problems
with adds, because the pet can't effectively tank those whelps anyway
if I hit them with multishot and they don't have much health. If there
are tougher dragonkins, I send my pet on them. Is this a good
strategy? Unlike in other instances, I keep my pet on defensive, but
this often makes my pet run back to the boss, which wastes some time.
As others have said, the second boss is the really only tough part of
this instance. That stupid de-buff is a PITA. I've done this
instance about 8 times, 4 of them successfully so far. Each time the
tank is able to ditch aggro for a second during the second boss
fight. Either a lock takes it or I do (rogue). One tank I ran it
with disarmed his weapon when the de-buff hit 50% to allow the other
dps'ers to take his aggro. I've no idea how the druid tank we had
ditched the aggro though, maybe we just got lucky crits at the right
time.
