I can tell you this - I used my ring of blood weapon until 70, when I
switched to a continuum blade after getting revered with keepers of time.

I know several druids still using their staff of beasts at 70, so yeah,
you won't find a replacement very soon. There's apparently a buyable epic
that a lot of them pick up on the AH, which I believe is the only better
druid item not from raiding or arena. *

Yeah, I don't plan to replace it any time soon. It looks pretty cool too (for those times when I'm actually in Tauren form!).

Do you remember the name of the staff you're referring to above? I'm curious. I did a search on wowhead for epic staves and this seems to be the only one that is BoE:

I'm not even sure I like that better, because there's no agility. Of course, the DPS goes way up.
