The flask vendor appears at the start of the second wave, and you need
about 10 people with decent gear to get to this point. Since he
appears at the start of the second wave, you're going to have to buy
from him during the fighting, since there is no down time.

If you make it through the second wave, a gem vendor will appear at
the start of the third wave, and you need about 20 people with decent
gear to get this far. Again, it's best to just buy your gems from him
while the fighting is going on, as it takes closer to 30 people to
finish the third wave.

Wow all this trouble to get this flask, and for the caster one and the melee
one you just go and pick it up. I wonder why such a difference in work in
obtaining those flasks.
