Might have been better getting one of the paladins to put on his

If you got him to 35% with only the tank and the hunter damaging him,
you could have had him killed in the same period of time quite likely
if your rogue had also been attacking him instead of the adds.
Possibly even quicker.

Might be, but he does this nasty spin from time to time, doing good
damage. Not a perfect fight for a rogue as I'm getting hit quite often
and require heals.
Our Paladin would never get the adds down in time. Do they vanish when
the boss is down? Maybe it's enough if he keeps them busy during the fight.

Were you taking many heals while dealing with the adds?

I got healed twice, not so much because of the adds but because the boss
came rushing in and hit me a few times from behind (impossible I got
aggro). I'm pretty sure I wasn't wasting much mana from the healer, that
must have gone elsewhere. As I had my back to the boss fight I couldn't
really see what's going on. I killed 7 or 8 adds before we wiped, and we
did not aggro the elite guys in the hallway.

Gonna repeat it here Dirk.

On groups to side, you pull them after they have been fighting and
health is less than half. I did not see you mention this. You watch them
(not center guy) with one targeted then pull. Careful...if you wait too
long you may pull right as they stop and health pops full. I got a kick
out of one online strategy- "they stop at 30% health so pull at 31 or 32%."
Yeah right. Even if there is some mod to show precise % health there
is no reason at all to be this anal on these guys.

On Kargath, DO NOT stand on the stairs. You pull way too many mobs.
You get fewer, and no assassins, if all get in arena. Spread out to
corners, tank in middle, and person on adds at top of stairs but not
on stairs, ever. I can't believe people even think this is a strategy.
If you killed Kargath this way (as I did once) then you have some
well geared people and good dps.

You spread out because Kargath cleaves, so he will not hit more than
one with each bounce he does. Also because it is timed and he will
be able to hit fewer people during his bounce period because he has to
go over a longer span.

I love Shattered Halls. I have that sucker down.
