Blizzard has denied repeatedly that the spamming is coming from trial
accounts. They are hacking their way in.
Where are they claiming this? Provide a URL.
Because many fourm posts have been made saying, "Ban trial accounts, to stop the gold spam," Blizzard reps have answered repeatedly it is NOT trial accounts doing the vast majority of spam.
They might even be duping gold at this point. The gold price has dropped by
2/3's in past month.
The fixes in the patch only makes it possible to report them eaiser, and
make them have to post more separate sentences, but what good is that? They
spam, log off and are gone.
Didn't read the notes did you? The thing flags an ACCOUNT not just a toon.
You do not understand yet. Blizzard is of course already able to trace a "toon" to an account. That is not the issue.
This new "fix" will only create new issues when people start reporting other people for fun, or just to be nasty. And when the VOIP starts we shall get audible spam.
