Re: Does Race matter THAT much?

I always make my rogue a dwarf because he gets to see treasures on his
minimap, which helps in lockpicking leveling. Other than that, it is
mostly how cool the toon looks that counts... :-)

I am considering rolling a lock, and I've seen all kinds of races as

human or gnome lock. (at least I think i saw an Orc lock lol I
remember him having a wizard type hat).

Anyway.. .does any certain race have a better benefit when it come to
lock? Horse side? On PvP?

Thanks!

Race hardly matters at all in most cases. For a warlock, I'd say the
only races that really have attributes that help the warlock are gnomes
(increase int) and blood elves (mana tap/arcane torrent), and between
those two I would always choose blood elves. The int bonus of gnomes is
ultimately not huge, and you'll have a ton of +int gear anyway. But
using arcane torrent to get back some mana is great, although warlocks
are pretty mana efficient anyway.

I would first decide which faction you want, then choose the race you
like the most that can be a warlock (Orcs can be, but all of their
attributes are geared toward melee or hunters).
