Just a heads up:
I have been getting a few " new " types of in-game mail spam.
Message that request you visit a site or is a in-game " news letter " for
a site to
visit, that appears to be a game-info site, a web based AH checker, or a
WoW blog
site.
However each of these sites are front ends for various
gold-seller/power-level sites.
I have tested a few sites with a non-game linked comp with very high
security and
have not yet ran into any trojan or virus nasties, but I do not trust them
anyway.
Word of advice; do not go to those sites.

So even though the in-game " spam " doesn't directly offer gold-4-cash or
PL-service,
the idea of it is to hit a site that basically offers all that.

And yes, I report all those messages, EasyReport and SpamSentry, and I do
get
positive feed back from the GM's I chat with and the saved mails show "
Unknown "
after a day or two ( meaning character deletion )

So, if you haven't reported players for spam because you feel it doesn't
help/matter... Don't think that way.... It does help and matter.

The two addons I mentioned are :

http://wow-en.curse-gaming.com/downloads/details/5585/easyreport/
http://wow-en.curse-gaming.com/downloads/details/4150/spamsentry-anti-goldspam/

They make submitting a GM ticket as simple as a couple clicks.

I use 'Easyreport' and report *every* spam immediately. I even reported
someone last night while we were killing Gruul (ah, OK... *trying* to kill
Gruul :). During the shatter phase when I couldn't move for about 3 seconds,
I right-click the spammer's name, selected 'report' which brings up the
ticket window, already filled out, and clicked 'save'. Easy-peasy.
