I've had the Samsung 244t 24" for about 4 months and I've been very
satisfied with it. Runs at 1920x1200, Wow looks beautiful. Driving it
with the 7950GT, no specific graphical problems that I have noticed.
I bought my wife the same monitor, she's driving hers with a 6800GS.
If your graphics card is less powerful than that you might need to
turn some of the options down, not sure. But then again, the cards I
mentioned are very affordable too. When I was researching the
product, I read a number of reviews from folks who didn't realize the
role the graphics card plays and they misinterpreted some issues as
being the monitor's fault. Point being, make sure you know that your
graphics card can support your new monitor so you're not let down when
you hook it up. :D
P.S. Generally the resolution of monitors >24" drops off
significantly. So if you're going big big, reseach your resolutions.
i sometimes let the kids play on our Samsung 46" 1080p LCD tv (with a
'real' PC input, not s video crap) i suppose dvi->hdmi would work
pretty well too, but haven't tried it.
it kicks ass. as long as your video card cranks out the pixels it looks
great. even the small print on the screen is very clear..
