Last I looked, there are 8 classes. Many of which don't
do any healing. Not a valid reason to quit. Maybe the
real reason is "I hate being nerfed"?
Honestly, there's always one, isn't there? I'm no longer satisfied
playing
the game (this includes my level 61 mage alt also, and I have tried ALL
the
other classes, levelling an alt does not appeal - I have tried it) and I
am
not even a feral druid. Never have been, never will be. The reason I no
longer enjoy playing my druid is plain and clear for you to see.
Disbelieve
it if you will, but don't pretend to know about my play when you clearly

not.
- Unwillingness to grind. This is the big one, really. I simply found
I
am
no longer enjoying grinding rep, or grinding heroic keys, or grinding
the
heroics themselves, or grinding mats for equipment or enchants.
I can probably agree there. But there are 8 classes and
8 races, so you can always start over again.
Of course I can, and wander around The Barrens for the upteenth time for
the
sake of still playing. I tried this, I found myself feeling.. isolated.
I
felt like I was playing the game for the sake of playing it, for the sake
of
staying socially in touch with my friends online, no other reason. I did
not *enjoy* levelling an alt.
Personally,
when I hit the max level I'll probably retire that
character rather than suffer through grinding and repeat
runs through the same instance in an attempt to get a
full set of gear. Doing quests is fun; building up
professions is fun; learning the lore is fun; finally
getting that useful ability is fun; etc.
I don't understand "no longer enjoying"; that implies
that at one time you did enjoy doing the mind numbing
tasks over and over. There is a lot more to the game.
Yes, but you seem to not have a max level character? I have 106 days
/played on mine, plus alternate characters as well. The tasks you enjoy
I
have done to death, thus they become monotonous. All that is left is to
keep playing socially with my friends and even now this is difficult,
because I am not attuned to whichever heroic instance, because I do not
have
the right spec, or because when I do it actually really gets to me how
ineffectual I feel since healing has become a lot harder.
Just take some time off (a month or more at least). Then
come back with a new character.
*shrug*
Why?
I'm way beyond levelling new characters for fun. The only fun left was
the
social part, and I'm at such a point now where that always means
high-level
content.

really gets to me how
Your main is a druid? You're resto spec (from above). You are the
perfect spec as far as most raiding guilds are concerned.
I bounce between resto and balance, yes. And I left hardcore raiding for a
reason. :P That was Stage 1 of my gradual stepping away from WoW. Stage 2
is taking a break completely.
When you work 9 hours a day, you want your recreational time to be..well,
recreational. And WoW stopped feeling that way, for me.
