Even then there would be gap between level 19 twinks in level 18-19
blue gear and regular level 10-19 players in greens :-/
But agreed, there's no real reason why low level players should be
allowed highend enchants.

Well, it _is_ handy if you like to play multiple characters.
I'm levelling character #7 now because I like to experience
all the different play styles of the different classes and it _is_
a pain to level yet again - trust me, this is from a guy who
farmed nearly all rare recipes from crusader, to int on bracers,
to stormshroud set himself. So I really can understand
when people equip their alts with "uber-equipment".

The second or third character still can do quests other alts
missed or even experience a completely new zone. But then
levelling becomes more tedious work than farming. I
enchanted a _white_ weapon with a high level enchant to rip
through low level mobs. I bequeath this weapon then to the next
character, as the weapon isn't soulbound.

But I agree, this is annoying to see such a character
as an enemy. Although even without enchants,
an experienced player even without help from a
main character will have much better equipment
than the average (new) player.

I just got the Crescent Staff from the Wailing Caverns
yesterday for my level 16 PvP warlock, used
a normal (2x18,1x19, 1x16, 1x25) PUG, not a level
60. But the average new player won't know about
the Crescent Staff until it's too late (when you are
around 19 and do the Caverns you will most likely
get too much experience and level..) and therefore
won't try to get this weapon before level 19.

So battlegrounds will never be just "skill in playing
the character class". The addons feature
in WoW alone destroys this concept.
