Any hope for Mage staying fire build after L60?

I have been a firemage from day 1. Everyone has told me that fire is great
for levelveing to 60, but then to raid, I must switch to cold. Can other
mages verify just how many fire imunes there are in MC and other high end
raids? I will miss my 2-4 hit grind. Pyro, FB, Blast (many are dead here if
not, freeze and one more FB). And if combustion is up, then I get quite a
few 1 hit kills. I have a LOT of fire gear...close to +200 DPS.
So...is there no hope at all for a fire mage in raids?
Also, now that world PvP is here, I may start PvP too. I hear fire is great
at PvP, but I want to be best at raids and PvP secondary.
