I agree. Additional dot is awesome - for lock it's better than
anything else. Just "hit and run". Though, we yet gotta see what kind
of creature the Fel Guard is. Looking at other Demonology improvements
(which are not too good), Fel Guard should be a nice one. I'm currenly
specced Destruction - mostly because AOE is "in demand", so it will be
really tough choice - choosing between really powerful AOE and
satisfying those calling for "more dots".

The Felguard will make or break Demonology, IMO. I'm currently
0/30/21, and really want to go to 41 in Demonology for the minion I've
always wished for. However, I find it highly likely that the Felguard
will be just as useless in PvE raiding as the existing minions. If
that's the case and the Felguard isn't worth the investment, then the
improvements in Affliction are sufficient enough for me to give up
Master Demonologist and go for an Affliction/Destruction build
instead. I'm thinking either 41/0/20 or 40/0/21 (Unstable Affliction
seems geared towards PvP to me) would be really powerful for raiding.
On the extremely remote chance the Felguard is actually useable in
raids I'd go for 7/41/13 or 20/41/0.

From what I've seen so far, the Felguard seems to be a "DPS
warrior"-type summons, with Cleave, Intercept, and some sort of
Avoidance ability. Other sources say its 4th ability is Mortal
Strike. That's ok I guess, but if he has the HP my other minions have
he's not going to last very long in a raid, and he's not going to make
a good tank solo either ('cause I'm sure my DPS will outdo his by a
large margin, anything otherwise would be incredibly overpowered). So
I don't hold out much hope for the Felguard and Demonology in general.
I've got my fingers crossed anyway. Time will tell.
