Re: First Server Kill - and no loot.

Last night, our raidgroup defeated Instructor Razuvious, and it was the
first kill of this mob on our server. But what matters more is that it was
our group's first Razuvious kill.

That's when the trouble began.

Right when the last add died, we all got disconnected from the server. Not
a big deal, happens every so often. We reconnected immediately, arrived in
the same location, but ... what was this? No corpses! The corpses of
Instructor Razuvious and his students were simply gone. No problem, we
thought, and called a GM. Now, one day and three GMs later, all hope was in
vain. The GMs said there "must have been a mini rollback" and they cannot
see the kill in the server log files, and so there is nothing they can do.
Nevermind that we invited them to the instance to *show* them that
Instructor Razuvious is not there, so obviously we must have killed him,
and none of his drops exist on the entire server. But, no, more than "sorry
for the inconvenience" was not to be had.

That was a rather depressing experience. Sure, we did kill the boss, and we
have a screenshot of it, but somehow I feel a little bit cheated out of a
memorable moment. I'd wager that this is something that can only happen on
the European realms. If we played on an US realm, I think our chances might
have been better, at least according to what can be read on US forums.
(Just like scammed items are returned on US servers, and on EU realms this
is not done and one is told that this is part of roleplaying.)

Sorry, I am probably ranting a little, but at the moment I'm a tad
frustrated with this type of non-support.

I would'nt assume it would be handled any better on the US forums.

A couple months back, a guild I was in was raiding UBRS. This was just
before patch 1.10.

Just as we got to Rend, the server crashed, and we were all booted. So
we all reconnected, and ran back.

the ENTIRE instance had cloned. Double EVERYTHING, except for what we
had killed.

We tried two pats, died, and left, with an open GM ticket.

An hourlater the GM showed up, and entered the instance with the raid
leader. They went through, and the GM saw the clones. He called in two
more GMs, and discussed it.

It was told to us then, the entire instance would be killed, and all
loot from Drakk down would be mailed to the raid leader to distribute.

Days went by, no word. 3 more UBRS attempts resulted in cloned
instances.

One final run, with all guild GMs playing together, the instance clones.

They get a GM in. The GM porceeds to accuse them of hacking, and 3 day
bans them all.

Never did get the loot from the first clone, when the raid leader
called, he was told that was'nt company policy.

As a final insult, we tried to post about it in the forums, and it was
deleted immediately.

I don't have much faith in GMs after that.
