Thats not true. If in a zone an attack was countered and all
necropoles (the area around a crystall, where the undead spawn)
are gone, they come back a day or so later. So I think, that
event has a durability, but I dont know when it is over. At
least it lasts another week until the next patch day.

Read the official forums, when the 150 counter runs to zero, the event
is over. Several servers have hit that point as early as Wednesday or
thursday.

A CM made a post that they're "considering" an NPC to turn in Necrotic
Runes later.

Dragonblight-US was at 127 destroyed last night, I expect them to be at
150 by Saturday the latest. I played a bit last night and got my leather
+attack to undead bracers, and am hoping to get the chest and gloves
tonight, and stock up on the Holy sharpening stones now that we're
attempting the 45 minute Baron.
