Re: Casual Gamers: Endgame

To be honest, if people want to play for 5 hours a day or more, then that is completely up to them.
And they deserve more 'rewards' in eq etc.

However, theres a lot of players who have the odd couple of hours a night. We do socialise in game and group
etc but simply cant put aside more time as our 'real lives' dont allow it.

Personally, looking at the 'grind rewards' that more casual players can get (for example rep with AD).
And the total hours needed to earn them i think theres an imbalance. It seems that a more casual player
is expected to spend many times more hours working to get far inferior kit. PVP skills wont get you a
set as a player with zero skill but the ability to stay on 40 hours a week will still get more honor.

Q: if you are a "casual" player, not raiding, not pvping, in what way will superior gear improve your game experience, or your access to game activities that are compatible with the amount of time you spend IG?

please note I'm not saying "casuals" shouldn't have access to epics: I am a casual myself, with generally under 10h played a week; epics help me fulfill my role in guild raids, what I'm asking is if you don't raid and you don't pvp, what sort of situations require you to have superior gear to complete encounters?

(just remembered pvp servers; ok, I get it on pvp servers, but what about on pve servers?)
