Hi1st of all, you can always respec, your talents are not non-changeable.
I got this game two days ago, so far so good and picked what i thought was the 'basic class'
ie a warrior, since then ive reached level 10 and read a lot about warrior 'builds' as i have to start investing
talents
But whereas other class builds seem pretty clear cut there seems a lot of conflicting stuff on various forums
regarding warriors.
From what ive read, levelling with a protection build is a complete nightmare (ive been told its like playing a paladin without heal to play a protection warrior solo) , yet warriors going
heavily into fury are not wanted in groups as they cant tank well and dont do enough damage to
justify their place. Is this pretty much accurate?. Im not that worried about pvp for now so looking
at a fun build to level with, while having some ability to get into groups later.
Can anyone suggest a path?. Fury appeals, but if it means perma-soloing later on
thats a problem although i will solo a lot initially.
Also weapons, im guessing that for protection shield+1H wep is a must, is there any reason to go 2H
for other builds?.
Thanks.
2nd, no, you dont need to be a protection warrior to tank. A protection warrior can, reasonably, tank better than a fury one, but a fury with an 1-hander and a shield can still do the job nicely. However, and arms/fury warrior will be much much better for soloing, so I would suggest that build for levelling.
So, my suggestion is this: Take up arms, get to 60 easily, and then if you decide that tanking is the way to go, respec protection. If not, you are still a "rogue in plate", and very useful in a raid.
