okay. you have to absolutely do this. get prowl for your pet.
I thought that was the most stupid neglectful thing Bliz could of done to
ruin emmersion. Leave the Pet out in the cold like that with a feign death.
The pet shold follow into FD also - heh - of course then someone might come
along and skin it. drat.

You HAVE to - just have to get "prowl" for your pet, and leave it on "auto"
for the battles. IF you have a pet that can't use prowl then read no
farther huh. does not apply, no refunds.
If you see that your hunter is going down and want to fd, then switch to
passive on the pet, the pet will break off battle and he (she ?) it will
come running to your side, anyway once you see the pet stop being agressive
and turn towards you (Horde put those pencils and note paper down) then you
can FD. The cat will drop into prowl and be stealthed passive next to you.
The monsters will just go away just picking their noses.
Prowl is great for those "invis" runs and standing there stealthed.
besides it also something 125% bonus attack damage from prowl for pet.

Feign Death really is a life-saver for Hunters, no pun intended,
especially when you pull 3 hidden Rogues in the wastes of Gadgetzan.
However, I'm not quite sure what to do when I still have a live pet. In
this case, the pet (in Passive mode) will stand placidly beside me as
the mobs beat it to death. I can set it to Attack or Defense mode
without breaking Feign Death, but in either case, the pet will end up
simply fighting to the inevitable death.
I've tried Dismiss Pet, but this breaks Feign Death. Oops.
Is there anything constructively I can do, or should I simply let the
pet die?
