I play a 53 undead mage, skilled 11 arcane / 44 frost. Lately we have
been to the Temple with a group of people 52-53. We failed at the
dragon. I tried to give the tank time and the frostbolted the dragon
slowly and sometimes put a blizzard on him when I get the clearcasting
state. This pulled the dragon to me a couple of times and if I ain´t
swift, he gets me.

unless you push every button ever with a mage, you do have to work hard to
get agrro
it depends on the boss though also
more likely your pug tank sucks :)
