The great unasked question

I was over in Silverpine Forest some time ago, someone had asked me to
visit their husband's grave, when it suddenly occurred to me: "This guy
is dead, and his corpse is in a grave - why doesn't he just release his
spirit and come back to life? He doesn't even have to run very far!"
Then it struck me that this cannot be a normal state of affairs. I
heard stories and songs when I was growing up in Mulgore, about ancient
battles and heroes long dead, and yet when I die it's just a short run
to get my body back and carry on as if nothing happened. Everyone seems
to do this; I must have killed Baron Longshore about a dozen times.
I have a theory that the world of Azeroth is trapped in a time loop,
perhaps something is leaking out of the Caverns of Time that I have
heard rumours about, and twisting the whole world into a temporal
circle.
