Anyone else explored AQ yet? No spoilers I dont think.

Most of the servers have open gates now, so I'm just wondering how many
folks from the NG have got to explore this place.

Here's my bored at work and wanna talk about WoW observations:

I like the looks of it, and the boss fights we've done are really
creative, challenging and best of all, new content! AQ40 is freakin
huge though, far bigger than we figured and we're struggling with time
between boss attempts because of the 5+ minute corpse run. The instance
only mounts are great, and we're seriously considering farming the
trash next week until everyone in the raid gets a mount.

Both zones are gorgeous. I wish they had the resources to go back and
spice MC up with some new textures and objects. The monsters are really
colourful, detailed, unique and huge! I keep finding myself out of
range because of size.

The fights are really great. I can't say enough about them. Maybe its
just the excitement of brand new content, but we're having a blast
clearing this place. The only one I wasn't impressed with was Buru in
20 (yawn).

Currently we hit a road block in the 40 man. Our gear just isn't
sufficient to move on. We have a choice of 2 bosses to work on, and
both seem to require the majority of the raid to be in 200+NR and still
maintain DPS. There aren't enough NR solutions in the game to overcome
this quickly like FR, so I think we'll be exploring AQ20 for a bit
while people farm up the few NR pieces that are out there. It'll also
help to get people some of the other upgrades that came out with
AQ(enchants, new spell levels) and another run through the other raid
zones wont hurt. Next week we can move on I hope since it's my last
week of playing.

I'm a little surprised at the itemisation. In AQ20 the blues we've seen
are terrible, worse than ZG loot, but the purples meet or exceed BWL
loot. The first boss dropped for us a cloth chest that was nearly
identical to caster tier 2 chest drops from Nefarion?(The shadow
priests wet themselves) For the 40 man, very nice pieces bumping some
hybrid/different builds but there doesn't seem to be enough NR items in
general to get over some of the really really tough bosses which is
forcing everyone onto the green dragons. Its really funny to watch
actually when someone discovers they're up, no matter what time you can
/who the major guilds and within 5 minutes they'll all put 20 people
online going for them, same for horde. Where does that leave the more
relaxed guilds?

I think this is Blizz's way of putting the brakes on rapid progression.
4 dragons, twice a week on average, on our server we have at least 9-10
guilds fighting over them, and you'll get 3 pieces of NR gear per kill
including the scale.
