That is not a reasonable or realistic answer. (It's maddening that it's
teh company's official response, but there you go.) Just because you
don't get qeue notices, does not mean anything. It's a widespread issue
for most servers now. It's Blizzard's official response to their crappy
server's issues.

It took me a year of playing to get my character to 60, and along the
way I joined a guild, many members of which are now good online freinds.
Rerolling would mean abandoning a year's work, and abandoning friends,
many of who I've worked hard to create and perfect group tactics with.

Beyond that, rerolling also means end-game content is effectively
unaccessable to me, if I keep rerolling characters on new or low pop
servers - in the time it would take to reach 60, the server will no
longer be low pop. I'm by no means a one hour a day player, I play
enough that end-game content is available to me - IF i can log in. IF
the servers are stable, and there's no 30 second delay in casting and
movement on the instance servers. On our server, Dragonblight, IF is
reduces to 1 frame persecond during peak hours - just like last year at
this time, and about 6 months ago.

Rerolling is a bandaid to a problem which is going to kill wow unless
they address it in a serious and meaningful manner. One of the aspects
of a MMOG is a massive investment in TIME building characters, skills,
gear, and groups. Constant rerolling is NOT a solution for people who
would like to experience the WHOLE game, not just the first 40 levels.
Server MATURITY is just as important as anything else, and their
upcoming expeansion relies on server maturation for 60+ players.

Trust me, I've talked to many members of mature, established guilds on
my server, they're all fed up and frustrated, and rerolling is NOT an
option. This problem, the issue of lag and qeues effects ALL players,
casual and hardcore, and all of them are sick of it.

If enough people leave, the game CAN fail. They have enough leeway right
now to survive quite a while, but I'd rather them fix the problem, and
not squander that leeway taking the easy, cheap way out. Their servers
have serious stability issues, and if they expect the game to last 5+
years, KEEPING 5 million+ players, they'd damn well better take a good,
long look at the issue and make the hard decisions NOW, rather than lose
a signifact amount of paying customers later. It's only a matter of time
before the overall problems are severe enough, that the game magazines
start discussing it, and decide being honest with readers and telling
them the truth is more important and valauble than advertising dollars
and "sneak peaks' at upcoming content. That crack in teh dam has already
breached, as a major gaming magazine referenced the new Alliance race in
an offhand way (which got an actual response from a company know for not
responding) - which says to me, the honeymoon between the magazine and
the company is firmly OVER. It's only a matter of time before the
server's lag and qeues show up when rating the game, and in discussing
the game, and that WILL kill subscriptions.

WOW is in severe danger, in the next year, as new games come to market.
I'd say half my guild is talking about D&D online, and are ready to bail
now, they're just waiting for it to be released. Blizzard had better
wake up and smell the coffee, or they're going to be knocked off the #1
spot HARD in 2006 - possibly hard enough, they will never recover,
expansion packs or not. Look at the other big dogs of the MMO world -
FF, Ultima, ect...I'll bet the player base and companies felt the same
way at their height, that the good times would last forever...until WOW
came out.

We'll see, when D&D Online come out, and a few of the other titles.
Blizzard doesn't want to hear complaints? Fine. That bed, they WILL
sleep in.
