And my reply read:
Greetings,
Thank you for submitting this information, I will forward your
concerns to the appropriate people. While I cannot guarantee a
response, I can assure you it will be read. In order to maintain an
enjoyable in-game playing experience, we have given the game servers a
capacity limit to keep the number of users playing concurrently at a
comfortable level. We understand that at times, the wait on your
server's queue may be long, but we have limited the concurrency
capacity in order to reduce the amount of lag and overcrowding caused
by having too many users logged in at one time.
We have carefully calculated and compared the number of realms we have
online versus the number of subscribers playing the game. After doing
this, we have determined that we have enough servers capable of
handling the number of subscribers currently playing the game.
Unfortunately your realm may have become a highly populated server
over time and we do apologize for any inconvenience. However, we are
curently analyzing the possibility of allowing users to move their
character(s) to less populated realm. We do not have an estimated time
of when we will be able to provide such a solution, but we would like
to emphasize that we will try to provide this solution as soon as
possible. Please be sure to visit our community web site at
http://www.worldofwarcraft.com for updates about this inquiry and we
hope this message has helped you understand the current situation.

Which is pretty much what I wanted to receive back.
I wanted them to tell us WHY they chose to limit play rather than
comit to better service. As you can all see they are "solving" the lag
problems in a creative and imaginative manner. THey will just keep
some people from playing now...... if at least for a little while.
So, now you can play WoW but only on THEIR schedule.
This changes the entire scheme of things...... it's no longer a flat
rate fee you pay for unlimited play and that constitutes a fraud IN MY
OPINION. pay very close attention to the words in capitals there
FanBoys.
Also notice that they did NOT say they are going to limit or stop new
accounts from JOINING a server that is already overloaded.....
This means that if the entire population of Fargo North Dakota decides
to suddeny join the server you have spent all your valuable time
building that prescious level 60 Paladin on..... well, just get in
line and wait.... but you CAN go to another server and repeat the
whole process over again.
Any way you stack this move, it's just piss poor management! It flies
in the face of every loyal fan in this game by telling you that you
and your time and your loyalty just don't matter a damned!
