There are some other uses - as a rogue I need Swiftthistle to make Thistle
Tea and Fadeleaf to make blinding powder (although I've had plenty from
drops so never needed to buy any yet, as blind isn't a skill I use often),
and as a leatherworker I've needed Wildvine to get through the Wild Leather
quests, and I'm always happy to pick up any extra to make Wild leather
gear!
My personal gathering choice is skinning/mining, but perhaps that's because
I was herbalism/alchemy on my first character and got thoroughly bored of
gathering herbs, then finding they weren't any use for making potions that
sold, and neither would they sell themselves - admittedly I never reached
high levels with it so perhaps higher level ones are better. I may well
take it up on an alt and see how they sell compared to mining stuff.
